The upper part features a drainage hole for optimal plant health, and the glaze-lined bottom part collects excess water – make sure to empty it periodically.

Plant name: Selenicereus anthonyanus (a.k.a. rick rack cactus, fishbone cactus)

Origin: Southern Mexico

Grown in: Florida

Light: Bright indirect

Water: Likes more water than most cacti, but allow potting medium to dry between waterings. Cut back watering frequency during the winter months when growth slows down.

Notes: If stems grow too long, segments can be cut off and re-rooted in the existing planter or in a new one.
